I’m an experienced economist and analytics professional with a background designing and developing analytical and predictive models that I use to deliver data-driven solutions. I enjoy solving problems using a strong evidence base and helping others gain insights through data. I have a strong background in policy development, economic research, analytical tools and model development and gravitate towards opportunities where I can use data to solve problems and provide insights.
With Bachelor's and Master's degrees in economics, I developed a strong foundation in statistics, mathematics and data modelling, along with a penchant for hacking econometric models in R, GAUSS, SAS and Stata and in more esoteric stats programs like GRETL, eviews and RATS. My educational journey didn't stop when I graduated. I'm a life long learner with a growth mindset. Along the way, I've honed my skills in R, learned how to use Python for data science (pandas, scikitlearn, viz packages) and have a foundation in SQL. Learning is a journey. If I don't know how to solve a problem; I know how to find out (and I want to!).
I’ve helped lead the development of quantitative, evidence-based, data science solutions in the field of municipal finance and government policy. In my data strategist roles, I worked across the organization to help stakeholders utilize their data to make better informed decisions for policy development, budgeting and long-term financial planning.
